Keep in mind being new to interceptor's I am very open to suggestions
I'm thinking... Malediction...
High's: 2 Arbalest Rocket launcher I, 1 small Nos II, 1 Energy Neutralizer II
Meds: 1 Warp Scram I, AB II, ECM
Lows: 2 Overdrive Injector II's, 1 Nanofiber II
Rigs: 2 Polycarbon Engine Housing
Speed: is 2649 and perma runs. (with neutralizer 4m 25 seconds) DPS: Worse then crap (35.1)
Goal: hoping to be able to capture both large and small ships, kill drones wrathed fast, and possibly tax cap enough to wait out the booster/reps to make an occasional kill.
Problems that I see--- no DPS, can't out run missiles, most likely not killing anything but newbies and an occasional cruisers solo.
Pluses: the idea of being able to pop drones fairly easily (which is the point of the rockets) and tackle and hold orbit at 26K permanently, (Also the cycling the neaut).
Experience so far: Not having an interceptor on me today . . . I tried a close fit with an executioner. I small Nos I and 1 small pulse laser I was able to easily get an omen down to armor with its cap stable at 40%.
Now if EFT can calculate this, I don't know how to use the feature. But at to the above a nos II, Energy neut and 35 DPS and you have . . . . I am not sure . . . possibly a dead omen?? The ECM is to break lock on missile ships and once you get webbed to add crucial seconds to your life.
Opinions please . . .

Edited by: Eternum Praetorian on 07/09/2008 05:34:58 Now I am admittedly an interceptor noobie so bear with me a sec.
Ive seen a Tyranis take on a Hurricane rather impressively. That was until the pilot accidentally engaged the MWD and he went from 50% shield to 1/2 structure in a second.
At least against a gun ship he seemed better off without one active do to sig radius . . .

Ok...alteration of concept. Try this one on for size:
High: 3 Arbalest Rocket Launchers, 1 Small Nos II
Meds: 1MN MWD II, 1 ECM Burst II, 1 Scram II
Lows: 2 overdrive II, 1 Inertial Stabilizer II
Rigs: Poly Carbon Engine Housing I, 1 Low Friction Nozzle Joints 1
This would be a Pre-Nano nerf fit that can easily be altered post Nerf.
DPS = 52.7 Without ECM it perma runs at at 92% (with 1m 7 seconds) Speed: 6,961 (Without MWD speed = 766)
The only issue is that it now has a sig radius of 164.8???

P.S. . . . not sure if I like the fact that my sig radius would now be larger then a Omens??
Will that be a problem when avoiding small-medium guns?

Edited by: Eternum Praetorian on 07/09/2008 21:13:15 <---------------combat pilot no not yet.
Soloing lv4's are just becoming easy, thus ISK to blow however I please without much concern.
Got to learn somewhere, but as far as my posting history goes, I have noticed that everyone has a different opinion about ships and fittings. One person praises fitting/ship/tactic (though not mine obviously but it was a first shot attempt) and the other one slams it...
Simply...every ship on the board cannot suck, and very few on these forums seem to agree on much. So if something works for someone (unless they are strait up full of crap) there must be a reason why it works for them....and so I am inclined to at least listen and take their idea's into account.
I have seen things work that should not have worked (ship-wise and fitting-wise) and yes it was in PVP. This is what compels me and makes Eve worth playing IMO.
